#Ethics, #diversity, and #inclusion are the main topics we will be discussing at www.uxcopenhagen.com this year. Design isn't always about aesthetics. Accessibility is not synonymous with disability. Working unethically cannot be justified by "having to pay the rent". Don't miss out on our stellar line up for this year's UX Copenhagen conference on February 27-28 (ticket sales end on the 18th!), see you soon!

If you ever wondered whether it was necessary to design for #accessibility, experience what it’s like to be blind and deaf, and taking a trip into London. @MollyWattTalks is our opening keynote on February 27th. #uxconfcph #UXCopenhagen uxcopenhagen.com https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Hq6rRQTIoqM

While women control the majority of consumer spending worldwide, most tech-products are created by male engineers and developers, often with male consumers/users in mind. As a result, quite a few of these products do not resonate with female values, needs, and preferences. This talk will center around how to create user-centric tech solutions that are more aligned with female values and preferences which will open up for larger audiences and market potentials. Learn about Womenomics, gender & innovation principles, and get inspired by cases from industries that have embraced the female consumer. Stine Mosegaard Vilhelmsen has been working with gendered innovation for the past 8 years and is part of the design-people team as insights & experience design manager. design-people is a Scandinavian innovation and design consultancy with more than 20 international recognitions for outstanding innovation and design. The company excels in exploring target group motivations, and translating these into meaningful, desirable and award winning products, services, and digital designs. www.design-people.com Read more about the conference here: uxcopenhagen.com Or get tickets here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/ux-copenhagen-2018-ethics-the-role-of-the-user-experience-designer-tickets-37031222383

Behavioral science has become more prevalent in the field of User Experience and design. We are experts on studying others, and knowing just a little bit more about the science behind what makes people behave and react the way they do can be important for our work. We are honored to have designer, "podcaster", content strategist, founder, and behavioral science explorer Dave Thomas of Think Company in Philadelphia join us to talk about cognitive biases, and how we can work with them - and overcome them - in our work as designers. "Design for Cognitive Bias Your mind takes shortcuts to get through the day. We call these cognitive biases. Usually they’re harmless. Even helpful. But what happens when they’re not? In this talk we’ll identify some particularly nasty biases and the kinds of design and content steps we can take to keep them in check, or even turn them to a user’s advantage. David Dylan Thomas, creator and host of the Cognitive Bias Podcast, has developed experience strategies for major clients in entertainment, healthcare, publishing, finance, and retail. A senior experience designer at Think Company, he also serves as the head of Content Strategy Philly, founder of Content Camp, a content strategy instructor at Girl Develop It and consultant at the Corzo Center for the Creative Economy and has given standing-room-only presentations at TEDNYC, SXSW Interactive, and the Wharton Web Conference on content strategy and emerging digital trends." We are also happy to announce that we are partnering with the Interaction Design Foundation! Anyone on our mailing list may take advantage of an exclusive 3 month discount on the annual IDF membership. Being a member gives you - among other things - access to UX courses, litterature, and meet ups in relevant communities. Read all about the offer here. During the conference, we will be giving away two annual memberships to the Interaction Design Foundation valued at $156 each. Read more about the IDF here: https://www.interaction-design.org. IDF members receive a 10% discount on tickets to UX Copenhagen. Don't forget to sign up for our Speakers' Dinner where you can meet Dave, Laura, Mike, and all of our other fabulous speakers! See you on February 28-29 in Copenhagen. uxcopenhagen.com
